NEWLAND

Newland is an independent Dutch indie alternative pop/rock singer-songwriter.

The Harlingen-based-songwriter Newland, alias Alex Nieuwland,  writes all the songs himself, records them in his own studio, plays all the instruments, and releases them on his own label. In short, Nieuwland is a completely independent musician. Going solo, the Frisian artist has evolved into a poet who has a lot to say through his alternative pop-rooted music. With melancholy that lies spread over the songs like a blanket. In his music, Newland is constantly looking back. Not out of nostalgia but to understand how I became who I am.
